Congenital acute lymphoblastic leukemia
in monozygotic twins. Case report and literature review

Abstract: Congenital leukemia is a rare disease with particular
biological and clinical characteristics. Here
we describe the neonatal synchronic occurrence of
acute lymphoblastic leukemia in a pair of twins,
diagnosed with pro B LLA at 15 days of life, with
t(11;19) (q23;p23). We also present a brief review of
published case reports and pertinent literature.
