Abstract: Evans syndrome is an uncommon condition in daily
practice, which can be both idiopathic and secondary
to another underlying pathology.
The case of a female patient of 72 years who complained
of dyspnea functional class IV requiring attention
quickly in the critical care area of the hospital
is described.
She had autoimmune hemolytic anemia at the time
of hospital admission, later adding immune thrombocytopenia.
We finally arrived at the diagnosis of peripheral
T-cell lymphoma through bone marrow aspiration
and flow cytometry.
Diagnosis algorithm performed and established
treatment is discussed, taking into account the constraints
represented the critical state of the patient.
Key words: autoimmune hemolytic anemia
