Spontaneous clinical remission after ten years follow up
of Chronic Lymphocytic Leukemia: a case reported
Authors: Conte G, Figueroa G, Salech F
Abstract: Chronic lymphocytic leukemia, the most common
type of leukemia in the western world, is a B lymphocyte
proliferative disorder whose development
is closely related to aging. Some patients have a
slow course with a median survival of 10-15 years,
while others suffer from a rapidly progressive and
refractary disease. In this article we report the tenyear
prospective follow-up of a patient with chronic
lymphocytic leukemia in which a spontaneous clinical
remission was observed.
