Abstract: Analysis of 359 consecutive patients of a single
institution with DVT that where treated with
a protocol designed to promote home therapy.
Clinical parameters of the population, inclusion
and exclusion criteria and the diagnostic diagram
and therapy selected are described. Clinically
evident recurrence was not found and a very low
frequency of bleeding complications was obtained.
This paper shows that DVT can be treated in our
country with a protocol performed in consensus
with the Emergency Department.
