Abstract: We report a 58 year old woman with a two months history of neurological disorders. She was referred to our institution to study a cerebral mass located in the middle cranial fossa. Laboratory studies showed a monoclonal band in the gammaglobulin fraction of serum proteins with a reduced polyclonal remanent, and both increased IgG fraction of serum immunoglobulin and free light chains kappa. Biopsies of both the intracranial lesion and bone marrow were performed, confirming a diagnosis of multiple myeloma (MM) with extramedullary central nervous system (CNS) involvement.
