Dasatinib as a cause of Pleural Efussion
and severe Pulmonary Hypertension

Abstract: Pulmonary arterial hypertension (PAH) is a progressive and lethal disease , characterized for abnormal vascular proliferation which increases pulmonary blood preassure and vascular resistance leading to right heart failure and death.(1)
Different drugs have been pointed as the main cause of pulmonary hypertension (PH) and Dasatinib it´s among those. Reports in the scientific literature are very few by now.(2)
We present a case of a young patient, free of associated co-morbidities and predisposing conditions for adverse effects (as described on the preexisting literature), who developed Pulmonary Hypertension during treatment with dasatinib.
