Abstract: Chronic Myeloproliferative Neoplasms are a group of hematologic disorders with similar clinical and evolutive characteristics. Clinically Chronic Myeloid Leukemia (CML) represents the most important of this malignances because of its incidence and prognosis. It is characterized by intense leukocytosis due to neutrophils in different stages of maturation, splenomegaly and markedly decreased
neutrophil alkaline phosphatase. Approximately 5% of CML present with myeloid sarcoma, an extramedullar
tumor of myeloblasts and myeloid cells in different madurative stages.
